Considered Polyairs. I have a three month Oz top half trip planned for July 2009. This gives me heaps of time to asess the package without Polyairs. ATS actually advised that it is a pretty simple retrofit if I want to add them down the track.

Lift should be 50-70mm. :P Bring it on!

Damien - Bilstein Premium Package is $1595 as outlined by ATS in other thread
      http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=131

Installation $295 plus $50 wheel alignment. Whole thing organised by Cliff at ATS. I will pay Heasmans direct when the setup is installed.

Got the ATS Premium package installed today by Heasmans. Must admit their service was great. When I rang up half way through the day to see if they do pink slips, they replied "no" but they took the car across the road to another mechanic to organise the rego inspection for me.

The 60km drive home was certainly a lot firmer without being harsh. You really notice the difference going around roundabouts - much better handling. The big comparison will be in 6 weeks when I go to Fraser and I can see how it performs in comparison to a recent weekend at Stockton Beach.

Will wait and see how we go with the wheel alignment. Doug Heasman spent about half an hour on the settings before taking the vehicle on a road test and then came back and spent another 15-20 minutes with the spanners. He did make the comment that the dents in the bash plates made some of the finer adjustments a bit difficult. He He He

While on the subject of bash plates, I got ATS to send up with the suspension kit, one of their front radiator bash plates. I will fit next week and post pics.

One last most important key point. The "truck" still fits in the garage with the Rhino Racks in place, albeit with about 20mm to spare.

          Byrnsie,

Any chance of a couple of pics? Mine is booked into Heasmans next week. Real worried about creating that 'empty ' wheel arch look. Darren has assured me it won't. I am currently sitting around 30mm below standard height and I have been told I will end up with 50mm above standard = an increase of 80mm. I am having the polyairs installed at the same time for $395.

......A week later, how is the new suspension settling in. I am booked tomorrow. Aything you would change? I have strict instructions from the financial controller not to change the nice 'soft' ride of the prado.

Has absolutely transformed the car . . . and all for the better. The missus is even commenting on how she likes the extra height. Amazing how an extra couple of inches can make everyone happy

In regards to the "nice soft ride" . . . not quite sure how you are going to explain that one, as the "truck" certainly loses a lot of the softness . . . but in my opinion this is a good thing. If the financial controller complains that it is too firm, maybe you could try the angle that it makes the vehicle a lot more surefooted and on that basis, a lot safer! The safety argument has previously been my justification for a whole stack of accessories.

I just checked my measurements and it appears to still be within 5mm from the time of installation.

                Good luck with the install.

                Cheers - Byrnsie

                        Hey Damien

Use the ole safety number on her - the suspension upgrade is something necessary to keep the family safe. She wouldn't want to scrimp on safety now would she?

Could I have the phone number of that hypnotist once you find them?

Mate i thought your battle there was done...

I will have to set up a nice monochrome rotating swirl for catherines computer. Then have it flash LIFT KIT every now and then with pics of Matts truck in between that.

After seeing Matts truck last night, she wants the spoiler to retain some of the niceties of the vehicles lines as she refers to the snorkel as the black dildo attached to the car...

Even I'm not game to post a pic of a "black dildo" here - this site still has a PG 13+ rating and there's not enough room on the screen.
