Well my Prado is now sporting the ATS premium kit, I have not done any measurement I will wait till I get back to Alice.

I took some before and after photos but unfortunately the owners of this PC I am using have locked it down and I have no way of installing any image resizing software to change the photos.

I think I found my next tyres though but I will have to wait a while cause they are big $$$$.

    Cheers

Nope, they are most certainly out of my league money wise, good looking tyres though. I saw them today.

Thanks Matt, it is a real bugger being hamstrung with this PC here at the rental joint. But at least I can get to post on the forum.

What is this 'left hand tyre wear issue' you speak of?

mav - did you go for the Polyairs or not? IMHO they are pretty good.

Hopefully you didnt get any broken studs whilst the wheels were going off and on.

No broken studs thank god. I did not go for the Polyairs here as I had a better offer to reduce the price next time I am over in Newcastle Thanks Matt!

                        • And they are awesome in the car, I must say, like the difference between standard and the Auto-craft Bilstein Platinum kits again.

The rears are also adjustable with a 9 position click adjuster on the remote canister.

                          Pics in Fox thread.

I am not sure what the problem is with the front suspension on my rig, when I was driving home from Adelaide, after the billies were first put on, the car was pulling wildly to the right. However it stopped doing this after about a week and it seemed to settle down, except occasionally I would get very loud "sproing" sound coming from the drivers front side occasionally when turning the wheel or getting into the car. I still get this noise from the drivers front and it also creaks alot when pushed up and down.

But this morning the wife was driving to work and she went to make a right hand turn into another road and she said that the car pulled hard left and continued to pull hard left after she had made the turn. She said it was like she had a flat front tyre but she checked the tyre monitor and everything was good with it. She said it stopped pulling to the left after a short period of time. I must say that I am a bit suspect of the whole billy setup since Matt found the problems with the rear spring seatings when installing the Poly's. Probably lucky for me that I did not get the Poly's done at the same time as the suspension otherwise I could have come a cropper on some remote track.

So anyone have an idea as to what could have caused what happened with the pulling to the left?

Lets start with tyre pressures, visual inspection, then wheel alignment specs, as we progress.

Yes, spoke with the guy who installed it at TT in Adelaide, he was at a loss as to what could be the cause.

At this time I have not had it looked at professionally, still trying to isolate where the noise is coming from. Definitely now seems to be the drivers side suspension but which joint is creaking is hard to make out. Have decided to put up with it till I can get back down south at Xmas to get it looked at.

Don't know but it did not do it before the lift kit was installed.

It is due to have a wheel alignment done, finding time and a place to do it within time constraints is difficult to organise. Tyre pressures are the same as always 40 PSI, TPMS system also used to monitor them.

Tyre pressures still at 40 PSI as usual, visual inspection does not show anything out of the ordinary. Wheel alignment still to be done when we can get it in.
