  • Change to HD springs?

    Hi Everyone,

Would love some feedback from anyone who has done this previously.

120 series Grande, running Bilsteins and King Springs KTFR 101 as well as Airbagman Airbags in the rear.

I love it but i sometimes feel the front is a bit 'bouncy' .

Since installing the front springs - I then changed from a sovereign alloy bar, to an ARB Deluxe Bar + Runva 11xp winch (Dyneema)

Was thinking of going to the heavier rate kings to hopefully reduce a bit of body roll and just firm up the ride a touch.

Anyone have any thoughts on this. Springs would have completed 120,000km by now I guess. shocks are in good order and airbags are quite new.

    Thanks!

    Change to HD springs?

I did the change a while back and am very happy with the firmer handling. My choice was easier as I had also lost a bit of height in the front with the addition of accessories that were added to the front of the Prado. (105ah) batt in the front was the main culprit) and took the front back up from 790mm to 805mm and now the Prado handles even better.

Thanks Craig. That's great to hear. I have a dual batt, but its a thumper unit which is housed at the rear besides my drawers.

Can I ask did you stick with Kings? or the same brand of spring?
