Hi I've read that you can fit 80 series rear shocks on a 120 Prado. I am interested in this as there is a much greater range available when you get over the 2 inch lift mark for the 80 series as opposed to the 120 series that I can only see Superior sell Amarda Extreme shocks. I would like to have someone confirm this for me that knows for sure. I am looking at the Tough Dog 41mm or 45mm adjustable or the EFS XTR shocks. I would greatly apriecate if anyone can help out.

Yes you can definitely run 80 series shocks in the back of a 120, I have been running them for a few years now. Have a look here for a bit more info http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post357745

Does anyone know what the go is with the measurements on the suspension database on shock open and close measurements the Dodinson GS59-701 is stated s being 580 mm open but the one I have measured 600 mm. I'm interested in the 80 series on but am not sure how accurate these measurements are. Are the standard Dobinsons 80 series shocks(GS59-682) not too long closed for a 120.

Hey Mozz,
Have a squiz at this thread which shows the bumpstop and swaybar limits on the rear 4-link setup;
http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ado-120-series
You'll hit the bumpstops around 405mm closed length, so 380mm closed on the GS59-682 will be fine (if it's really 380mm closed).
Keep in mind also the stated open length for the GS59-682 is 630mm, which means your swaybar will bind before the shock with factory links.
Have a look at this thread for extending your swaybar links to avoid binding your swaybar;

There is another listing for rear of 120's I can't remember the number 637? as I don't use them, they are about 580mm.
