  • Whiteline LCA bushes - any good?

    Hi guys,

    My LCA bushes are shot 6 months after I replaced them. Thinking of replacing them with Whiteline poly bushes. Anyone here got any experience with them? I've been told they come with a lifetime warranty. Quite pricey as well.

    Cheers

    Hey,

    Shot bushes after 6 months, which brand/material were they?

    Read post #6 in this thread for an opinion on poly bushes in LCA's;

    Having seen a lot of disintegrated poly bushes, I personally would avoid using them.

      Hi Whitey,

      The rear LCA bushes where not OEM and I did a few rough trips over some rocky terrain since I had them replaced. Was a bit peeved that they didnt last long. I'm tempted to go OEM but I'm swayed by the fact that the poly ones will outlive the OEM ones and I don't want to go thru the hassle of replacing LCA bushes again. Not overly concerned about the harsher ride quality that the poly bushes may ofer since its my overlanding/trail rig only. BTW, you mentioned that the poly ones disintegrate. Have you seen them on the Prado LCA bushes only?

      Thanks for the feedback.

        Hi mate,

        I have replaced all the suspension bushes in my Prado with a combination of whiteline and SuperPro. As far as I know only SuperPro offer lifetime warranty. I have not noticed any increase in ride harshness, my guess is that its because the body is rubber mounted. The handling is better with a more direct feel.

        I have had the bushes installed for several years now and have done a reasonable amount of off road use and not had any real problems. I had one rear lower trailing arm bush which failed after only a few months (Whitline replaced it it free of charge stating it was a faulty batch, great customer service) I have had no other problems.

        Steer away from cheap Chinese items on eBay and the like. They may look similar but their quality is normally crap and they don't last.

        Hope this helps.
