Prado 120 Grande suspension Q...

Hi all,

I have a stock 2007 Grande. The ride has been getting "bumpy" for a while now and the rear bags leaking down overnight.

I have been searching for a "cheap but good quality" set of air bags to replace the rear and eventually the front bags.

Now in my search I've found ebay at $260ish and they appear to be the same as the "ali" sites..

Am I deluded? Will they do the job for a couple of years?

Also I'm assuming the system has now gone into protection mode as the compressor no longer chatters away at start up. Is there a quick way to check this?

No those eBay airbags aren't genuine. Get the genuine ones from Amayama.

Thanks for that. I'll order a couple and hopefully once installed I'll back to riding on a cloud.

Any other advise on fault finding the suspension?

Is it sitting on bumpstops now? When my airbag blew, the rear was on bumpstops and the compressor didn't turn on. But the compressor was fine once I put new airbags in.

Yes that's exactly what it's doing. I'll grab new bags and hopefully all should be well.

G'day again,

Is there anyway of me checking if the compressor is dead? Can I reset the suspension somehow?

I'm expecting the new bags this week and figure it'd be good to order a compressor if needed.

Needed a scan tool to pull the codes.
