Darren, grande should be 750mm front and 770mm rear as this is the most you should go with the air bags, etc, so the high setting doesnt top out the shocks either.
Are these measurements standard or with the Bilstiens Ridepro kit.
If with the kit why would anyone bother trying to get extra height is the Grande different than say the GXL besides the electrical stuff and air bags?
Cheers

sure is, the grande has adjustment on the top driver side rear arm.
the adjuster works about 1/4 of the total height change, so to get the car down 40mm, adjust the adjuster 10mm.
BUT DONT BREAK IT!
its a $740 part, ex Japan, 7 week wait, and you cant drive it until its fitted, had customers who have tried to adjust the adjuster, and broken it, and got us to fix it.
Bending the adjuster bracket is the safe option, to suit.

Grande Lift
Hi, new to prado point.
I have a 07 d4d Grande and a long wish list to go with it. The Grande happened by chance as I had ordered a VX and was in the early stages of the big wait when the dealer phoned about a lonely grande that had been a cancelled order, of course I jumped at it.
I am keen to start playing now but have been told the grande cant be lifted because of the factory electronic supspension. The kit talked about here fitted to a grande, does it do away with the factory shocks and airbags or is all that kept.
looks like a great forum here plenty of great infomation and ideas, I know the wife wishes I hadn't found it allready.......javascript:emoticon('

Thanks for any help recieved.

The grande can be lifted with std shocks, but not as far, and with the improved shocks, ride and handling are improved over the std units, as well as getting the lift, and a better front coil rate as well.
The std height adj air bags stay in the rear, with the med setting becoming higher, low at std height now, and high going up higher than it does currently as well.
We have been doing Grande lifts since they first came out [like AHC 100's] and as much as you dont have "sport" settings working on the dial any more, the better shocks are better at doing the job than the adj standard units anyway.

Grande Suspension Kit.
If I have read the post correctly you can fit taller springs whilst keeping the airbags operational. Do you then need new shocks or can we keep the 'tuneable' original shocks?
My Prado only just manages to fit under the door in the garage but I would dearly love to be able to lift the front as well as the rear. We just got back from Fraser and the standard clearance is a problem, I did most of my slow driving on deep rutted roads with the suspension (rear) set to high. It did give me some extra height but I still managed to bring half the beach back home with me.
Maybe a spare set of taller rims and tyres would be a better option for me.150 Vx D4D, Deluxe Arb bar, winch, Hayman Reece Towbar, UBP, P3 Tekonsha, 'n stuff.
