  • Price for a 2.5" lift

Just came from this shop which gave me a quote of nearly USD 850.00 to lift my car using and OME suspension kit, including installation. Does this seem fair to you guys/gals, am I being scr*wed here, thanks for your input.

THere are so many shabby shops around that can do a lift, but I just do not want to go that route. One of my 4x4 buddies did a job for less than $100, you should see how funny the car looks, besides, I would not want to be in that car on the highway! Toyota gave him the go-ahead though, go figure!

What should I be looking out for before I commit?

One wonders where your getting a USD price in AUST?

It's been said before on this forum, contact Darren at ATS in Geelong.

You can either do it properly or do it the wrong way.

Any of the major 4wd shops can also help you out.

Personally I think 850 USD (1132.30 AUD) isnt unreasonable for a suspenion lift.

Christ we pay up to 2000 a corner for the rally car struts, you wanna talk pricey suspension??

Sorry guys, forgot to mention that I live in Dubai no Australia, where lots of people make lots of money, including these garages. I am thinking of importing the darn kit myself and then having it professionally installed, or maybe just going with a second rate kit Either way, it is a lot of money for a set of shocks and springs.
