  • Std toyota rear shock length

Can someone with a standard rear shock laying around please do me a favour and measure it for me.

I need the length at full compression and at full extension, from the centre of the bottom eye to the base of the stud at the top.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mick

    Mick,

Full extension is 575mm from centre of bottom eye to base of top stud. Also it's 600mm from centre of bottom eye to the top of the bottom bush with bush plates on.

    Cheers,

Not at this stage mate. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll see if I can compress one down.

Re: Std toyota rear shock length

Why do you need to know ? You thinking of putting some longer ones on ? The Lovels 64612489 100 series cruiser fit and are 620mm long , The Blue max / Gabriel / Iron man -120 series shocks are 618mm long . They all give you more down travel than the standard shocks .The standard shock is 575mm long and 360mm closed

            No, mines already modifed enough..

Just putting some 80 series shocks on a late model Surf and thought I'd put a bit of a data base together on various Toyota springs and shocks that are interchangable.

            Thanks for the measurements.
