  • Ome nitro sport or Bilsteins?

Im after a bit of advice for a suspension setup on my 120 prado. The first option is OME Nitro sport with coils from ARB or option two is Bilstein with Lovells. Cant seem to find too much unbiased info on the new OME sport shocks. Would either options give roughly the same amount of lift. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

If you search in the suspension measurements 2 thread you will probably find that the lift you get from the Lovell or NON OME Kings springs will be higher than if you go for OME. The old OME and new OME Sports use the same springs. Just the struts and shocks that have changed.

I have OME Sports and I'm happy. Others have Billies and are happy. Best thing you could do is try and contact someone who lives close by and have a ride in these and see what you think. Bilsteins will set you back more than OME. It's up to you how much you spend on this and what your preference is. I can not comment on Bilsteins too much. Most seem to like them BUT I know of one person who would opt for OME next time but that was because he favoured the cheaper option for what he claims is a similar ride.

If you look at trying to contact someone around you then you should really list where you are.

      Uh oh, another thread.

Galah, there's a dozen or more threads on this topic... maybe not precisely OME vs Bilsteins, but plenty of info on both to help make the decision that best meets your needs.

Grab a glass of wine and peruse those threads. Plenty of reading... really.
