Has anyone fitted the Airlift 60809's in lieu of Polyair? There is a thread from Brizkiwi a while back who purchased a set on ebay for A$110 delivered. He has fitted them to his 2008 GX, but I'm unsure if he has lifted his GX or is still running standard suspension. In his thread he states that in the US they are used on the Toyota FJ and the 4Runner which have a similiar chassis to the Prado. Does anyone know if the Airlift 60809's are compatable with a 2008 GXL's standard suspension?
I have sourced the Polyairs in Australia and the best price I can get them for is A$289 delivered from 4wd Direct (http://www.4wddirect.com.au/scart/html/233.html) whilst the Airlift 60809's are US$87.00 (A$116) plus delivery of US$56 (A$75) making a total delivered of A$191 (A$100 cheaper than in OZ).

    Hi Bidla,

Since price is a determining factor, I recommend you also look at the Firestone Coil-Rite. I see no difference between Coil-Rite and Polyair, except Coil-Rite were considerably cheaper at the time I purchased them in March'08.

      Re: Airlift 60809

      Hi Bidla
I fitted the Airlift to stock GXL suspension. No problems at all in fitting. I tow a trailer with maximum drawbar weight and wanted to regain a more level ride. The Airlift bags have achieved this very nicely. I've had them in for about 35,000km now - no problems. At full pressure - 37psi, they provide about 35mm lift. With maximum drawbar weight they bring the Prado back to near-level. Certainly level enough to not cause problems with low beam alignment. Re imports from the US - obviously exchange rates aren't so favourable now - but may still be a good deal.
