Make suspension tougher

Hello! One of my friends have Prado 120 3door 2003 year 3.0L disel and wants to take part in local off-road rally in beginners section. He needs to make suspension more 'heavy duty' than a stock one (which is too soft). I did some research over internet and found that Lovells make heavy duty springs for this Prado model. This ones for example: http://www.4wddirect.com.au/scart/html/392.html. Are they enough to make suspension tougher or we need some heavy duty shocks?

all manufacturers make a heavy duty suspension package, you friend will have to be more precise in what he wants, eg, std height but heavy duty springs, or raised height and heavy duty springs, there r so many suspension packages around, you can either give a local suspension bloke a ring or have a look on here in the 120 suspension section. cheers samo

He wants standard height and tough heavy duty suspension, I need a hint where to look for heavy dity kits you mentioned in your post.

I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong, but with the Prado having an IFS front end, it has no steering stabiliser?

I meant front stabilizer bar, not the steering one.

Part Number 4881160230 for the original I think, I call it the sway bar but I think stabilizer bar is the correct name. Sorry no idea about a stronger one.
