My lower control arm through bolts are seized. I'm thinking of cutting the bolts with a grinder and punching out the remaining bit of bolts out of the sub frame.
Has anyone else done this?
Hi BJ74
Sounds like a familiar condition with those adjuster cam bolts.
I had to tackle mine with the 4" Makita angle grinder and a ultra thin cutting disk.
I also replaced the OEM bushes with Nolathane.
Great improvement over the worn bushes.
One complaint I had with the kit was the washes supplied by Nolathane.
When torqueing the bolts up to spec I found that the body mounts flexed in on the bush.
The washers also deformed into the slot in the mount that is to allow for adjustment.
I over came this by taking the vehicle to my local machining workshop whom measured and machined up some thicker washers out of harder steel.
No more flexing of mounts (both ends of bush parallel) and no deformation of washers.
Cheers Troy
