After some time of trial and error I've ended up with what I consider to be excellent flex out of the prado
Front
1. Extended travel Icon Coilovers (Sourced from USA)
2. Light Racing Upper Control Arms (Sourced from USA)
3. Diff Drop (Sourced from USA)
Coilovers
LR UCA
Diff Drop
Rear
1. 4" Tough Dog Big Bore shockies (from 80 series LC)
2. Drive shaft spacer
3. Extended brake lines
4. Coil spacers (already had these in for the 3" lift)
5. Coil retainers + Cone retainers
6. Extended bump stops
Drive shaft spacer (sourced from superior engineering)
Extended SS braided brake lines, approx 3" longer than standard (sourced from USA as they were half the price of locally made lines)
To retain the cones and the coil spacer in the correct location I used zip ties
Coil retainers... started off as zip ties but I decided would break sooner or later so made some out of strap metal
I already had 2 x 15mm bump stop spacers from the previous shocks, this time I swapped the actual bump stop for a hilux one which was 20mm longer...perfect
And this was the end result
I have a mate making up some adjustable upper and lower control arms + panhard rod to get a little extra flex as i have about 5mm left in the shocks
I should have some footage in the next few weeks out at the 4x4 parks so we can see how she performs
