Generally, a good coil will settle less than 6-8mm.
The most important measurement is to keep a minimum of 65mm droop, so the difference between your measurements should be 65mm or more, from ride height, to when jacked up and the wheels hanging.
Otherwise it will top the shocks out all the time, and end up damaging them, or pulling them apart.
You hould also be able to get neg camber whael alignment, and good castor, if its not to high.
