Re: How many km's out of your original shocks and srings???
My first Prado, 2005 i got 70,000 with a fair bit of outback travel before shocks started to leak, springs had sagged badly as my 2" lift gave me 4". My current 2009 Prado the original springs and shocks lasted less than 300kms  Approx the distance from the dealer to my shed.
Cheers AndrewSo Long and Thanks for all the Fish!

Re: How many km's out of your original shocks and srings???
I am about to put a new set of springs in the front,120k on car.Standed suspension was in for about 18 months then upgraded with 2"lift wich gave me about 3" due to sag in standed set up. I put in a TJM XGS set up with heavey duty springs. But with all the extras on the front and under the bonnet the extra weight has taken it's toll on the front springs.Struts and back end are fine,a new set of taller Ironman springs are on order as it is the only one I can find that will bring the front back up to at least look levell04 GXL 3L TD Toyota Bullbar 2"TJM lift TJM OX hyd winch Blackwidow draws 40LT Engel dual batteries Mickey Thompson ATZ's Steinbauer P Box Airtek snorkel (colour coded)
Its now gone sad to say but enjoying the replacement LC200 with a BIG list of bits to add.Lifted pre rego

Re: How many km's out of your original shocks and srings???
I have done 36K and a bit of towing and the rears are leaking.
Toyota are replacing the rears under warranty next service.
I'll be updating then complete suspension (TJM Gold) before the Dry season up here and I head off on some more trips during the dry.
I don't trust the standards on a big trip, especially towing.
Budgie.

Mine's a Grande and I managed 215k, the rear end felt like it was bottoming out when hitting traffic calming bumps. I mentioned it to a few people and the suggested it was probably due to the air bags. I fitted Autocraft Billies/Kings, but only had time to fit the fronts on the first day. Whilst test driving it I noticed much to my surprise that the rear end no longer bottomed out (usual hump) even at great than normal speeds. Obviously the fronts were so shot, they were allow the weight to transfer to the back. Who would have thought the front shocks were causing the back to bottom out. The next day I replaced the rears and adjusted the air bag height. The Prado now drives far better than even when I bought it with 160k on the clock. Another of those "Why didn' I do it sooner" mods!!!

I never drove mine on standard suspension. That was the delivery km before the springs were ripped out and aftermarket stuff put in!My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Re: How many km's out of your original shocks and srings???
I bought a 2003 TD GXL with 80,000 on the original suspension.
I changed it out at 92,000 for dobinson/lovells and haven't looked back. The old stuff was doing OK (road travel only), but once I started adding accessories it wasn't up to the task.--------------------------------------------------------------------
