        Sway bar breakage!

Toyota dealer could not explain breakage. Said it just one off!
However Toyota are now fitting solid sway bar & not hollow as was on mine. Only problem is bar is smaller in diameter. Have bar but no bushes to suit :? Oh What a Feeling!!!!!!!!

Just took mine in for service and was told mine was broken, so obviously an issue. I'm assuming everyone with the issue has suspension lifts?

              Hey,

Can you specify the open length of your rear shocks, your rear coil free height, and if you are running extended swaybar links?

The limit of the arc on the rear swaybar is around 615mm in OEM geometry on the 120, so there is the potential for the swaybar to bind if you have rear shocks longer than 615mm and you have not extended your swaybar links.

It's unlikely you have that setup, but let's check what you have anyway!

Whilst my rear bar wasn't damaged I did replace it with the Whiteline heavy duty adjustable bar, I noticed a big improvement in handling with a noticeable reduction in body roll. Could be an option if you have to shell out one a replacement anyway.

I just Googled it and it seems Whitline no longer make their bar, Superpro RC0026RZ-24 seems to be identical and may be a suitable option.
