They are similar to rancho shocks. If you get rancho rs 9000 its also adjustable and a lot cheaper there in the USA. You can set up dual shocks and dual steering stab. With in cab remote so you can adjust ride comfort as you drive.

      thanks.

I wish ICON Vehicle Dymanics made a suspension for the Troopy. I can wish can't I?

Bilsteins work pretty good, depending on load etc.

Have done many and make them work over the years, long and swb versions. [like this one from late 90's]

          That's some serious flex.

And with LS7 454 making over 450 rw hp on 36"tyres, it went and handled ok too. 8)

at 200 kph the tops of the front doors would suck open far enough you could fit your hand out between the roof and the door.

Re: Tough Dog Suspension...What are your thoughts?

Had 98 Prado. Fitted 2 inch Tough Dog coils front and rear with ajustable TD shocks all round.

Rears lasted 15,000km before seals blew and oil started flowing out. Replaced under warranty and gone again before 12,000km. Replaced under warranty with big bore hd TD non adjustables. These lasted just over 10,000km. Left side coils also sagged.

Replaced coils and rear shocks with Emus just prior to selling the car.

42,000km on billies with the 120 and no problems to date.

Re: Tough Dog Suspension...What are your thoughts?

I've had 2 sets of 80 series Big Bore shockies on the rear of mine (2" and now 4")... I replaced the Billies due to me needing a longer shock (nothing wrong with them) I think the TD is much better for my setup due to the weight in my vehicle. I have heard that oil leaking out the adjustment knob is a common problem....and the adjusters stop working overtime. Still I've had no problems and I have a mate with a GU Patrol that's been running them for 5yrs without any issues

Another mate that runs a suspension shop reckons Koni are the bomb though
