BFG A/T availability

Got a quote from bridgestone west Perth last week for $350 a tyre. Only problem was getting stock. Was told a shipment had just arrived but all sold on back order. Have to wait 6 weeks now or go for the dueler D694s at $319 each

I've been chasing them too, I can find the odd one here and there but not 4x 265 65 17's
I bought cheaper road tyres, but have put a set of 265 65 17 AT's on back order with m local Tyrepower. I'm looking at 345 per tyre.
I'm lucky we fitted 17's to out van, so when the BFG's arrive, the van gets my current road tyres as spares.
I was told a 12/14 week wait, they were expecting them at the start of August.

Wanted a set of 4 of these and had been (265 65 17's) calling around since Feb without luck. So had all but given up and the old dunlops were very sad looking so last weekend I decided to visit a couple of local dealers in order to figure out what to get instead. Bob Jane was the third place and when I asked the guy what 4x4 AT tyers they had in stock for my prado and he said Goodyear and BFG's, I had to ask the guy to show me the BFG's because I didn't believe him.

Anyway the good news finished there as they wanted 366 a tyre, a bit steep as I had been quoted 289 at xmas time but the place couldn't get them before I moved in Jan. I got the BFG's in the end at 366 as I needed new ones desperately, got them dirty yesterday and am very happy with them.

One a side note some tyre salesmen are wanks. during my tyre search I went into a small local place and the sales guy spend 10mins trying to make me feel stupid for wanting to put an aggressive tyre pattern on a prado.

Geez i really cant believe my luck after reading this thread. I needed to get all, 5 that is, changed today as my grandcraps were bald, and reg was due tomorrow. Called up jax quickfit today, and got 5 on the car an hour later. Very lucky though because no other dealers had them. $329 each too. Guys at jax kensington sydney were really helpful. Very much recommended.

Apparantly they had withheld those tyres for toyota themself, but were kind enough to give them to me. Hope they can get more for that other persons prado though!
