    Hi guys
I bought a set of ST MAxx about 3 months ago now and a set of rims to put them on. I am still using the rubber that was delivered with the car and only using the ST's when i go out and about.
Having said that i love them i thnk they are one of the best tyers that i have bought for all of my vehicles both on and off road.
I have used them at Bendelbury ranges this easter and they performed great and as for on road i struggle to pick any issues at all.
Cost was 410 each so not cheep as has already been talked about.

    good luck

      Hello all,

265/70-17 ST Maxx were $395.00 each fitted and balanced 2 weeks ago at Tyrepower Diamond Creek Vic. I bought 6. Ask for Ben, he always is the cheapest when I go looking for rubber.

      regards

We have Cooper ST on our work Hilux, they were good new, but after 18 month not so much. Their wet weather performance is very poor. Its almost like the tyre have gone hard, it slides around without even trying when the road is wet.
Might not be an issue up north, but here on cold wet Gippsland roads its a problem.

Is this a problem with all the coopers tyres, because based on my experience with the work hilux, I certainly wouldn`t be fitting the ST`s to my car?
stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,

Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.

Maxjj are you talking about the cooper st or the cooper st maxx because there is quite a difference in the compound?

                Hi guys,
just got a set of the ST Maxx on the car last week. Took them out into some mud and gravel on the weekend; nothing extreme but they felt very sure and solid. Good on the wet road and only a very distant hum at around 80 km. Comparing with previous tyres: BFG Muddies,BFG At, Yoko and Toyo (although they are all quite different) these are a great compromise. Our car gets used to ferry the wife and kids around town as well as as mush touring, weekend camping/4wd that we can fit in and towing our boat.
So far they seem to fit the bill but it's early days yet. Did a bit of hard brake tests, swerve tests and hard cornering on a bit of wet, quiet back road just to put my mind to rest and the tyres preformed very well. I rekon the Silica helps.
Price wise I shopped around and was consistantly getting quoted $420 per tyre till I dropped into Guests 4wd in Fairfield. Driven past these guys for years and always thought they were too expensive on things, but they came in at $375 per tyre. Now I have to say, they really took the time with me to compare tyres with real life experience as they had used both the MT ATZ4 and the ST Maxx on their vehicles. They fitted me in at short notice and even found a matching size secondhand cooper tyre that still had plenty of meat on it and fitted it to the spare as I went from 65 to 70 profile.
That's pretty good service at a very good price. They were buisy and I can see why.
Anyway I'll let you know how they progress but for now the GX looks great with them on and I'm pretty happy!

                  Hey Fables,
Have you found out about freight from those guys? I'd be very keen at $200/ tyre saving! That would work out at $1000 left over to ship, fit and balance. I think it would need to be $500 or less to be worthwhile.
On a side note, like a lot of things, prices in America usually result from the market size. 20 million in Aus, 300+ in USA.

                  Cheers,
                  Dusty
