    BFG Mud Terrains - Anyone seen stock in Brisbane?

    Hi,
    I have rung around a number of places, everyone is saying 3+ months wait at least on BFG Mud terrains.
    Are there any available in brisbane at the moment anywhere? 265/70/17's wanted

            I am also having problems finding 245/70/17 BFG Mud Terrains, any ideas where I could find a couple of them?

            4WDriver since 1975, current 4WD, 2009 GX diesel auto 150 series, fitted with ARB bullbar, snokel, dual batteries, rear draws, water tank, mud tyres, side steps, 50mm lift & roof bars. Tow a Olympic Champion XPack caravan, travelled a lot of Australia, past big trips in 150, August 2010 - Hay River Track NT, July 2011 - Kimberleys and WA, July 2013 - Canning Stock Route WA.

              I've had 285/70R17's on back order since end of Sept last year!!! Unbelievable - if you look on tirerack in the US they have heaps of stock... and cheaper! Shipping is about $500 though, but that's 7 day delivery. I may still do this if I don't have them in the next couple of weeks. I'm sick of waiting

                  I am also waiting for BFG mud tyres, was told by my tyre dealer that the problem is that BFG is now making tyres in China and the Aust dealer/disturber does not want to sell Chinese tyres, bit of a stand off. That is why there is plenty of stock in the states, USA made.

                    This is why I went for Cooper STT. If I trash a tyre I need to replace it now. No matter how good BFGs are, if I can't buy them they are no use.

                      If there made in China they can stick it, Last time they changed manufacturer they churned out a shit tyre and that is why the complaints skyrocketed, then went back to USA for production and the complaints reduced bigtime. People on here probably even remember that at the time. What the hell is going on around the place, as if they dont make enough money, now they want to make more by giving us shit. Might be time to change brands if they do that........Cheers Steve

                          hmm my dealer just got them in today.... what to do, he says it's bullshit that they're coming out of China.. Would there be any markings on the tyre that indicates where it's been made?

                              The old tyres had MADE IN USA branded into them, check to see if the new tyres have a made in country?
