just wondering if anyone knows whether the sunraysia rims will bolt straight on to a 120 gxl or to they need spacers

depends on the size and offset of the wheels.

Don't use spacers, they are illegal and they increase negative offset, which is what you don't want. Look for a 17x8 or 17x7.5 wheel with an offset between +5 and +30.
