  • Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo and D695

    Hello People,

    Anytakes on these two for VX series Prado ?

    D695 seems like the latest out of the box. There is no review for D695 at

    http://www.tirerack.com/

    but Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo has a number of reviews and survey results as under;

    http://www.tirerack.com/survey/SurveyCo ... mpare1=yes

    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... _rating=(Y)

    Seems like an ultimate off-road but I am not too sure about speeds which states 180 KM/H, in Saudi we drive 160-170 normal for a couple of hours ata a stretch or even more. Anyone has had the experience on the black-top ?

    Best Regards,

    Naukhez

    The 695 is a new model tyre and we havent seen that tyre here in Aust yet, So no one will be able to review it for you.

    There is however plenty of existing threads on the D694 tyre. Search button will find them.

    As we are speed limited to 110kph in most areas of Australia again no one is going to be able to help with the high speed aspect.

      *** I have put this in another thread which remains un-answered - have done a fair bit of research on D694 and that is my second option.. It seems Pirelli ATR is not available in Saudi***

      Hi All,

      I am new to this group and currently residing in Saudi. Recommended Tyre change by the goons of Toyota and a search for the best suited tyre for Prado brings me here.

      I have done nearly 45,000 KM's on my Prado V6 (fully loaded) with Long tarmac drives across the heat of the ME (more than 10,000 KM's) with temperatures ranging from 30 - 50'c and guess what the Dunlop held well. Tyres were rotated only once at 30,000 (should have done at every 5,000). The main off-road experience was in the mountains of the South near Yemen. So far I have not had a single puncture, yes not a single puncture). I feel with more rotation they might work for another 5,000 KM's (atleast). Though I am planning on changing them before-hand. My choices;

      1. Pirreli Scorpian
      2. D694

      I will be doing another trip to Jordan and Syria in the coming months, with more of a long Tarmac Drive (not ideal roads) and some off-road. I have read the D694 reviews and under stand this to be the best bet for my driving conditions, with mostly hot and humid conditions, rain at times and some off-road and a bit of steep tarmac hills (with no snow). If I plan on Lebanon than I might hit the snow. I am not a big fan of desert bashing but will definitely go for Wadi Bashing in Oman and Yemen at a later stage.

      I am yet to find any review on this forum for Pirreli Scorpian. I under stand that Mansour has just got these and we await his update (after his 15th of October trip). Any other updates on Pirelli will be helpful? Otherwise my second choice is D694, which is readily available. I am checking if Pirreli is available in R-17. I am told it is.

      Best Regards,

      Naukhez

        Double posting is not required or looked on favourably....

        It means when some other person comes along trying to search out information there is dozens of irrelivant posts for them to scoll thru. You end up with a snowballing issue..

        Please also place your location in your profile.

          Location can be viewed. Had no idea that double posting is not required as the original post has been sitting idle ..

          Anyway, I hope for some answers. BTW, has anyone used Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo and if yes, how has been the performance on 80/20 on and off-road ? or otherwise any other ratios'?

          Regards,

            The AT Revo which is the 694 here has plenty of threads already posted on it, the search button will uncover them all.

            From memory there is also some on the Pirelli's about 6 months ago.

            This one is from a UAE member, good reading and close to you. http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php ... ht=pirelli
