I'm not sure what size he's getting in for me I just asked for the biggest I could get, from memory I think they are 265/75 but I could be wrong I'll let you know tomorrow. Wish I had of known about yours earlier you should put them in the for sale section, why you selling?

dont think you can get 265/75 or even 265/70 in stz
just decided to sell them..... reluctantly really, IMO they are very good.
going to sell my muddies and the stz and try to fit even bigger maybe atz4rib something a little more aggessive a/t but not really excited about mud tyres.
I have listed them on ebay, if i dont have any luck i will put both sets of the tyres im selling on here and newhilux.net

Sounds like u made a good choice in tyre and size
I might end up with same
I'd really like to know what their like offroad in mud....
It sounds like they are a bit noisy.....
I'm guessing not too bad? Nothing like a m/t?

Well it came to replace the old Cooper's, so after researching the options Cooper AT3,BFG All Terrain T/A, and the Mickey Thomspson STZ, they were all approx. the same price here in Perth WA. Decided to stay with the normal 265/65/17 and chose the STZ being the latest from MT. Paid $382 F&B and noted marked improvement in the steering wheel response. Just scrubbed the blue paint off - very happy with the selection

Thanks again all on PP providing info

Hey Kimbo, these are awesome looking shoes
Now that you've had them on for a couple of months, any more opinions on them? Have you had a chance to get off-road with them?

When you were comparing them with the BFGs and Coopers, which would you say has the most aggressive tread pattern? I thought the BFGs were a bit more rugged than the Coopers that I ended up with, but they were also $35 more per tyre at the time.. All three of these options seem to have basically the same load rating.

                Hi mybo

Yeah I'm happy with them - but either of the 3 I think you can't go wrong - just personal choice

The wife didn't notice a different after doing over 2000km at Xmas time only on roads which was a good sign (happy wife etc etc) but I do notice a "humm in the bumm" though the seats which puts a smile on the face.

Off road yet? -MEH with Xmas/in laws/back to work/kids/house jobs no time at the moment -was hoping to get out this weekend with the other perthPP members but no go - so can't comment off road difference to the coopers I had (but I'm no 4wd expert that's for sure)

You should enjoy the coopers - heh in years to come might get the BFG's for something different - but when I was looking at the time none available as usual (which says something for them as well)

As said before price different over here in WA not that much different between the 3 - price collusion like the fuel....
Enjoy your prado like we all do

I had the Stz, offroad very similar to a bfg a/t they are very good traction.
Obviously not as good in mud.
The Stz is silent In comparison to relatively noisy bfg a/t.
In a 265/70-17 for example you will pay for the Stz, at least $50+ more per tyre, a price for quiet......?

How many k's did you get out of the STZ? Or did you change-over before they were fully worn?

ATZ 's on country tar, if you call that , rolling hills

came around a nice left handed hilltop ( crest ) on a real smooth line.. lookin for the apex at about 85k/p/hr.. and saw a rock lined up with the right side tyres

looked for the apex and holding the smooth balance, as the rig was on its lay to the right under power.. taken the crest ,
the weight had just came down loading the front right.. nice and smooth ,
                      looked back at the rock.......

                      about 100mm x 150mm x 90mm H , in a teardrop shape ... the point facing to the left....

i worked it out, to hit the front right tyre , from the centre of the rock . It would of hit the inside edge for sure..

looked back ,no apex, throttle held on the downside of the crest , smooth as , . and at the right time blinked.

                      lol

for a milli..secnd. left hand edge of the tyre smacked that lonesome rock from the way it sounded,,,,,,, into the centre tank guard. only one thump ..
big thump but only one.. the tyre and suspension flawless......... evan the steering wheel didnt take the shock, big plug for the gear I'm running
the rig continued thro the downside of the crest for another 100m , sweeping left .. balance nice i , found the apex 100m later that opened nicely , straight into a down hill long left..

no bullshit , ... the MICKEY THOMPSEN ATZ ( 43 p.s.i ), and IRONMAN suspension deserve a plug... was a bit hit...

the rig sucked it up and showed its true color's... prado's are very nice to drive

the ATZ . i have found paired with my light setup have performed out standing and to my surprise , on the long weekend , held up to their reputation,, .. very happy here , butane
                      cheers butane

Yeah I sold them only about 8 or so monts old, because I gave up the m/t & a/t changing sh!t every weekend.
Also I like the look of the alloys over the steel rims.
So from what I did with them I can say I think they were wearing very slowly, no visual wear.
Did I mention they are very quiet...... Nice ride. Good grip. Not much chipping & cuts. Excellent in the sand. Very good in dry or rocky offroad stuff.
Now I use the alloys with the hybrid atz4rib. They seem to wear a little bit more but only about 6 months or so old.

Well after reading the thread "Check your coopers" and the tyre age per the DOT markings, after spending $$ only Dec12 - could not help check the age of 5 tyres bought with a torch just then 1412,1512,1512,2912 and 5110. One tyre already 2 years old!! Now know to keep an eye on that one and check this DOT marking before handing over $$ next time

I would of never thought to checked this - hope it draws attention for others to do so
