Be interesting to see if anything changes about the Coopers company product line now it is owned outside the USA, and whether of it moves offshore

have heard good things about Michelin LTX A T2, excellent life. Would be nice to hear if anyone here has used them.
I like the D697 , would happily get another set. But will have a look at the Michelin`s depending on price.

Still don`t like Coopers S/T, they were fitted on work Hilux 18month ago good when new but then then became way too slippery on bitumen, they just seem to get hard over time, now running BFG muds they are tons better.
stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.

Happy with my Mickey T - Baja STZ

had my Mickey T for the last 45000km during our trip around Oz. Didnt had any dramas, great tryre with heaps of grip when needed but still smooth when onroad.

Might not the cheapest option, but quality goes over price for tyres, if you ask me.

I'm nearing the end of my directional mud tyre KL71's and was looking at another set of mud tyres to try out. The KL71's have been awesome and probably would keep going if I kept to highway driving, but that's not possible where I am.

I got another puncture on the weekend gone, or the plug I had in there was damaged so had to change over to my spare. Anyway Ozzy Tyres had a sale in the online store so I've picked up a set of KM2's to try out at $330 a tyre which I think is a good buy, like you Lindsay other wise do not see the value in these tyres when tyre shops are selling them fitted close to the $600 mark in Darwin. I was considering Goodyear MTR kevlars which were being priced at $485 upwards as well and when you are buying 5 this puts you well over 2g worth of tyres which is crazy.

Hopefully not de-railing the thread, but what is a safe expected life of a tyre these days? I tend to think 2 years out of a tyre is good, I'm sure tyres last longer with others but at what stage are they becoming unsafe on the road or more likely to come apart or puncture more easily?? My highway driving is often at speeds of 130km/h so I tend to have less trust of a tyre that is getting on with age at this speed.

I run Micky T ATZ 4 Ribs have had a great run so far. They are very popular over here in Paraburdoo as our gravel roads will find any weakness in a tyre very fast.
