    Hi All,

I don't know about NSW Regs, but I'm running 2" Lift with OME's and 1" Extra with 265/70/R17 Cooper AT3's.
The rolling Diameter is 803mm vs STD Size GrandCraps AT20 which is: 776mm

This size tyre corrects the speedo, as 265/65/R17, run under by 5kms/h.
Ie 100km/h on Speedo = 95kms/h road speed, give or take a little.

as stuart said, most ppl run 265/70/17 as there is a wider choice of tread patterns to suit your needs, as well with the std rim any wider then (correct me if im wrong) you increase your chances of rubbing the inner side wall of the tyre on the rod that that connects the upper and lower control arm, unlesss you chance rims with different offset. cheers samo

Unless your Prado has a build date prior to the 2006 introduction of the D4D, then the speedo reads accurately with the (265/65R17) 65 series tyre and will under read by about 3.5% with the (265/70R17) 70 series tyre.

Also, current NSW regs only permit an increase in diameter of 15mm over standard which renders the 70 series tyre illegal. These laws will eventually change I'm told, but who knows when. The current NSW regs are: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registrati...vsi09_rev4.pdf

Ha ha, What I meant to say is that after Nov 2006 the speedo reads accurately with 265/70 series tyres and before Nov 2006 the speedo reads accurately with 265/65 series tyres.

Nice choice, if your Prado is built prior to Nov 2006 you'll find the speedo is out with those tyres fitted. To get your speedo to read accurately have a look here: http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...do-Calibration
