    Good one thanks AJ. I won’t be doing super rough stuff in the CT anyway for a while til I feel more competent with it all, so I’m sure the current setup will do me til the Grand Treks are retired, they still have a fait bit of tread left. Then your option sounds pretty good to me. I love this site.

      Even taking on the rough stuff, if you set tyre pressures correctly the you would be extremely unlucky to completely bugger 2 tyres.

      Personally the only time I ever "destroyed" a tyre was driving out of my shed in all our outback travels I have not damaged a tyre bad enough that I couldn't easily repair it myself on the tracks. That includes a fair stint of outback driving on Grandtreks with my first Prado.
