  • Bf Goodrich Ko2

Hi all just an update on the ko2 just spoke to my uncle at Michelin and he informs me that the size 265/70/17 won't be available till late this year and the size 265/65/17 won't be here till next year. As he put it Australia is there smallest market so we only get allocated what's left. Pretty disappointing.

Thanks Bryce, I was wondering about that. Still my current rubber will last that long, so I guess patience is a virtue still…..

i defiantly liked the look of the tyre, but that is disappointing that we have to wait so long after such a big introduction
i dont know if i could hold out that long, as the big display we had at the Mildura 600 in early April told us that they would be here in August this year
when i quizzed them why they didnt bring the 265/65/17 in first they said their 16" range would be the biggest market, and i said really with all the Prado's & Hilux's
i guess i will go for the Toyo's as i know what they are like after racing on them for years

I have the Dick Cepek Fun Country's, I have only put about 5000 kms on them at the moment but so far have been excellent both on and off road, I am really happy with them. It will be interesting to see if they deteriorate on wet black top over time as my previous coopers did.

Bit of an update here, just ordered 265/70's today & they arrive on Tuesday.
$350 fitted & balanced which I didn't think was too reasonable, will be interesting to see how they go!

Yeah I was surprised, the BFG Site has always said Q4 this year so I never bothered to check & was going to go for ST Maxx in a few months.
But had a kumho piece of sh*t tyre blow out on me at 100k on Sunday so the new set of all terrains are coming a bit sooner than planned!

Im happy, missus isnt exactly thrilled....

And they look a lot more aggressive in person than what they do in all the BFG stock photos which I was quite surprised at.

Well for reference, I went into Bob Janes this morning to price them, was quoted $398 per tyre.
So went into my local Coopers dealer & was quoted $380 for ST Maxx which I was going to go for.

Thought id try my normal mechanic who is also a tyre store and are a BFG dealer expecting them to be around the same as Janes only to find out they were nearly $50 a tyre cheaper!!

And the tread pattern is quite different to the old types, which doesn't show in the pictures.

I must've been looking at a different KO2 because I all I saw was the same tread pattern in the middle with sidebitters

I gotta agree with Andrew, it looks extremely similar in the photos, but when you are looking at them in the flesh they are a lot different.
The BFG stock photography doesn't do them justice.

I wasn't all that interested and keen on them initially because I thought they looked a bit less aggressive in photos, but they certainly dont look it when you are standing in front of them.

The extra sipes in the centre blocks should help with wet weather driving.
