    Gday all does anyone run 265.70.17 instead of 265.65.17 on a 120 series without a lift kit .if so any hassles with rubbing guards cheers

    Mate, I used to run them from new without a lift. I have since done a 2" lift. The only thing is to make sure you have the wheel alignment rightly balanced so it turns the same amount on each side. Mine's currently a little out and rubs slightly on right lock. 265.70.17 is pretty common on 120's.

        After you have lifted 2'' , did you change tyre size? and if so what to?

          I have the 265/70/17 on ming. BFG KO2 - and they do slighlty rub but on my plastic guard. The plastic guard was out of shape, so with the heat gun I moulded it back to original shape as much as I could and now it clears it.

            Have been told by a tyre shop that 285 70 17 will fit on my 120 series gxl. I have 2" lift. Just want to make sure before i order the tyres.

              You'll need +15 offset rims to fit.

                Also check legality of your area as a lot of states going this large is illegal and may void insurance.
