Are there any other brands other than cooper stts that come in 285 70 17 size?

I believe there is Goodyear. When I wanted to go for 285's, was advised not to for the Prado because there is very little room in the front suspension area [at the top, not sure what you call the round thingy ]

I have done afew prado's with 285's, and they are a tight fit, they will go, on standard offset, with some selective trimming etc.

I have seen one on 35's, and am just waiting for someone to wan tto go that way, so we can get a lifted 120 on 35's

Thanks for reply. I have 285 cooper stts on already and there sweet. Almost ready for new set of tyres though. Just wandering if there are any other brands out there.

PS I am also toying with the idea of getting 2" body lift from a company in perth and then try and fit 35s on with larger offset wheels.

          Ando,

Do you get any scrubbing of the wheels and does it put the speedo off? if so by how much?

          Thanks

              hi Ando
I believe ProComp do a tyre in that size. From what I've read on the forum though, they are pretty pricey.

Could you please upload some pics of the mod? Also are spacers illegal as in covered by insurance etc?

                    thanks

havent got pics. can by the spacers from most auto shops. Just need ones to fit 6 stud. They sit just behind the wheels.

Im from wa and my insurance company will cover me. I rolled a subaru with spacers on and was fully covered.

Does any one have any experience with the BFG KM2's I have heard they are pretty quite for a muddy, curious how the noise is to say Coopers ST or BFG A/T.

Spacers, 2" lift, and cutting away some of the mud flaps at the front was all that was needed. Not sure about insurance in QLD. I have a feeling that WA are the most relaxed with rules
