Load rating on rims

Hi All,
Could anyone inform me if the load rating of the rim has to match the load rating of the tyre as per tyre placard inside drivers door. I ask this because have just brought a set of 17x7.5 Grande speedy rims that I was told are prado after market replicas, but are only load rated to 955kg.
I have a 05 GX V6 Pardo with 17x6 rims & want to upsize but unsure if there is any insurance issues

I will put some more thought into this for you but my understanding is that they are two totally different concepts and do not come under the compliance plate ratings. Tyres on the other hand are load rating and are affected by tyre pressure as about 95% of the load on a tyre is carried by the air within the tyre. If a rim is rated at 955kg this would far exceed the GVM of the Prado as I can't imagine a Prado weighing in at nearly 4000kg. I will do some research to see what I can find out and it will be intersting to see what the OEM rims are rated at.
