I was just flicking through a “Max Ellery” workshop manual and found the following info in the tyre section.
Thought some of you might find it interesting.
“Tyres driven with ¾ recommended air pressure have only ½ of the suggested tyre life”
“Friction is proportional to velocity cubed. Double your driving speed, 8 times the wear, or driving speed increased from 100 km/h to 120 km/h doubles tyre wear”
