Can anyone shed some light on whether the hard spare wheel cover will still fit if I change my tyres to 265/70/17?

Spare Wheel Cover fitting Larger Tyres

Thanks mate.
Are you able to let me know where it won't fit?
i.e The top lip that slides over the top of the tyre..............if so, can that be trimmed back?
Or the actual dia. of the cover is too small for the tyre?
Is there any way to get around this other than going to a fabric wheel cover?
Cheers

To only increase by the legal 15mm limit in Qld, if that is the case............what tyre size can you get?
I was of the understanding that the next size up after the 265/65/70 which is factory standard for my '05 model, is 265/70/17, however these are an increment of 26mm. So is there any size in between that allows you to increase your wheel dia. and still stay 'legal' in Qld.
And also, for the topic of this thread, if there is an inbetween size, can you still fit the hard plastic spare wheel cover on it?

I have heard good things about the D694.
I am starting to sway back to the idea of just keeping the standard size........due to speedo accuracy, fuel consumption, the spare wheel cover (and thats her little pet, not mine!) and as you say.....an extra half inch lift isn't all that big a deal, although, I wouldn't mind an extra half inch!
Cheers for the advice and feedback all.

I spoke with Matt at ARB Southside today, as it's just around the corner, and the 245's that you talk about were probably the the 245/65/17. I am not too keen on going skinnier than already on there.
The Cooper ATR in the 265/65/17 are a passanger car build, I was hoping to get a light truck build as I will be towing a jayco outback through the territory. I unfortunately can't get the light truck unless i go 245/65/17 or 265/70/17.
I am going to ARB on friday as they have their 100 series Cruiser set up with 265/70/17 and see what might be involved in modifying the spare wheel cover to suit and then make a decision from there.

He seemed rather switched on, I had been dealing with Fourby's previously and just thought I'd ring around with prices.
He had great customer relations and explained a bit more to me than the guys at Fourby's did. Don't get me wrong, the guys at Fourby's knew their stuff as well but Matt came across a bit better on the phone to someone who is still learning all this stuff.
