  • 120 2Ē Lift - Sunraysia Rims Question? Before I spend $$$

    Gíday all,

Iíve been away for a while, sold my 03 at the start of 17, but just bought a low KM 05 which Iíll be picking up next week. In preparation for all the mods I have planned, I decided to run two set of wheels. One for the road, the other for the mud.

Now, Iíve searched and searched, Iíve manually read through the 120 wheels & tyres section, but I canít find a definitive answer to my question.

What is the best offset for a set of 17x8 sunnies? Then, whatís the best size tyre to go with that combo? Now, Iím not stressed about the increase in track, but, I do want to keep it at least looking legal by keeping it just just within the stock flairs of a GXL with a 2Ē lift.

Any help would be most appreciated!

    Steve

The offset required will depend on the tyre size. Plenty of information when you look at it from tyre size selection first.

Have you considered contacting your local tyre shops for 120 series steel rims? I picked up a set of Prado steelies - traded for $40/rim - bought 5 that day and mounted M/T tyres on them. Just needed to purchase the correct wheel nuts as my original rims are alloys and wheel nuts are different.

I'm running 17x8 sunnies with 0 offset and 285/75/17 muddies, sticks out a tiny bit.

          Is this with aftermarket UCA's?

          Cheers.

thinking about going back to stock rims on my 120, question is will 265/70/17 tires rub? currently my steel rims have a different offset but as i need new tires soon i think id rather the alloys (second set of rims/tires). Got informed recently about how the steel rims have a gap and all the wheel nuts are taking the load.

              You are running 34" tyres?
