It's hard to understand their thinking/ business plan - I need a new set of muddies in the next 8 weeks and at this point I can't find anyone who can supply the KM2s let alone give me a price. So it looks like either MTZs again or possibly ProComp XMTs, though I don't know of anyone who is running the ProComps.

Darren in Geelong is running these I belive or at least recommends them

That would mean different offset rims, then they would no longer match the camper so I wouldn't have common spares and it gets too hard - so I'll stick with 265/70/17.

You can bring them in from places like
        http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....rain+T%2FA+KM2

A friend did this and it worked out cheaper than getting them from here.
Also if a few of you wanted them and were in the same state I'm sure shipping might be even cheaper

Yeah looks heaps cheaper... i can get a set of 5 tyres for $1000 US. I can't find how to get a quote on shipping to Australia though.... It would be good to get a group buy going to get shipping cheaper.

            Just email them
My friend got it from them and found them reasonable for freight (can't remember exactly but I think around $300)

              Gday,
Just went into Bob Jane's in Karratha and spoke to them regarding KM2. They rang their BFG supplier in front of me and ordered me a set of 5 KM2 265/70/17. WooHoo!! Estimated arrival time 8 weeks.

They couldnt give me a price as they didnt know what there costing would be yet. I have not paid a deposit until they give me a call with price. My guess is expensive like every thing else in up here.

I was in two weeks ago but they could not give me a time frame. Eight weeks is a bit of a stretch without a spare, so I had go the AT's again.

I hope they come through for you Jono. My Bob Jane in Darwin could not get an ETA from BFG. When they rang back a second time, they were told close to the end of the year...maybe

No good for me, so on with the Maxxis Bighorn 265/70/17s. So far, very happy

                            Beast of a tyre.

So you have them on your Prado. Do you have a lift, how much of a lift?

                            Do they Rub at all.

                            Thanks for that

Saw a Prado with these tyres on it driving around the city today in a 285/70/R17. In real life they look almost All-Terrain-ish, not a very aggressive tread pattern compared to others. Hope they work in mud better than the BFG AT
