What size tyres?

I have just purchased a 2004 v6 gxl prado. It has a 2in ironman lift and running the 5sp auto. The current tyres are 275/65R17 Grand Treks. I would like to upgrade to something a bit chunkier and bigger like the bfg muddies or mickey thompsons. What are good sizes that go well with the gearing setup of the prado and still fit without scrubbing out to much on the inner guards or control arms?
