  • Cooper CTS - anyone use them?

One of the local Cooper dealers swears by the CTS as a much better ride than the AT and will still perform very well offroad. Quoted $365/tyre.

I know the off-road buffs will not be impressed by these but anyone using them who also does a bit of sand and some offroad?

    Cooper Discoverer CTS
Not much in that thread and so I will assume that not many (if any) PP members use them. For $290, you can get a D694LT

Thanks. I did a search on "CTS" and didn't find that thread.

Thanks for the replies. I got quoted $350 fitted and balanced at Brookvale, and that dealer also swares by them. About $30 a skin cheaper than both Pirrelli and Michelin for a minimal offroad tyre. But with a 780 rating on tread wear, agains 300 on the Dunlops which are coming to an end at 55k, its tempting but I'm a bit concerned that they may be harder ride. But if noone is using them, I guess someone has to put a foot in the water.

I wouldn't worry about the harsh ride.

We recently fitted Bridgestoe 694's in Light truck construction with a deeper tread than the standard 694's, the ride might be harsher but we haven't noticed it.

Read every part of the Coopers Warranty because if you tell then the wrong thing they will dump you real quick.
