Towing a 2 tonne plus horse float with 3 door Prado?

Does any of you who own a shortie to a horse float? If so, would you recommend it? My float is approx 1 tonne unladen and we have two geldings both about 500kg+ each. I have towed the float with a KDJ120R Prado with the 6 speed manual and it towed great but I am really keen on the new 150 three door ZR.

I would love to hear your thoughts, experience and advice

You need something with atleast 2 horsepower.

I towed a 10 x 6 tandam trailer with total aggregate of 2 tonne from Melb to brisbane on 22nd Dec , it towed brilliantly , and I was able to chase my wifes car ( commodore) up all the hills with no issues whats so ever. I could comfortably sit on 110 kmh whereever needed. I do recommend air bags, and some better front suspension.

I have a 2011 with the above all done , and 11000kms on the clock. I am looking to sell it as i have company car now , if you are interested .

A mate has an SX model (diesel / auto) and regularly tows his 2.4 tonne boat/trailer rig all around Victoria and up to south coast of NSW. No problems at all
