  • 2009 ZR 155 Upgrades

    Hi guys

Just been having a bit of a look-see on the site and am wondering if I can get some consensus views on the relative merits of vehicle upgrades from the community.

I have decided that I want to replace the Toyota factory bullbar on the ZR with an ARB Deluxe and am looking at one of the 4wdsupacentre Domin8r 12000 lb winches.

This would obviously include the replacement fog lights and relocation of the front camera and parking sensors on the bar.

I am also toying with the idea of the ARB underbody protection, so obviously by the time I add all of this weight, I am driven down the suspension upgrade route .....

So, I am pretty convinced on my choice of bar, unless anyone can suggest anything that may be better. The winch choice I am fairly comfortable with, but if anyone has any compelling reasons why not, then please by all means .....

That leaves me with the suspension ...... what do I do there? I only want around the 40-50mm lift and am assuming that will enable me to get some bigger rubber under the guards above that for the 18" alloys and 265/60R18's that are on it now.

Whats the recommendation? OME, Kings, Billstein, ..... ? and why.

Thanks so much for the opinions and advice. I don't want to blow good money through lack of knowledge or experience.

    Cheers!

I'm very satisfied with my Domin8r. So far strong and reliable. Can't comment on the rest of your plans, except that you will definitely need to upgrade the suspension.
