Re: How are you finding the SWB 150s?

Walker ,Mate you are correct the SX does not come with a oil cooler .I fitted a 20k BTU unit to my girl and also a filter on the out line to the radiator to catch any debris from the trans, then, from the radiator to the cooler then to the trans .We have just returned from a trip from SA to Q for the Gympie muster towing a 6.1m Coromal at about 2 tonnes and the SX went like a dream .I never towed in D only in manual mode and then with cruise control .The Trans performed no worries and NO warning light at all .Strange though while in Brisbane the local paper in the auto section even suggested putting a cooler on the Prado . Mine was check before we left by the Toyota dealership here and added a few suggestions which I took up and as I have said she performed faultlessly . The SX is a terrific car for us as we are only 2 and I have also added a by pass oil filter for the engine with the 2 filters situated remotely on the chassis and I now use only Mobil synthetic for Diesels .I'm currently assessing whether to add a engine oil cooler as summer is coming and we are hoping to do some more touring, I also have temp and pressure gauges to go on as well .I like to see what is happening before it happens if you know what I mean Cheers Foxy

We only have the 2.7 litre gas engine here for the SWB, can't upgrade from my 2007 SWB with a 4.0 litre V6! Anyone have any experience with a SWB with the smaller gas engine?
