  • Helpful Information Required

    G’day Everyone,

Just new to the forum and I am looking for some help.

I am seriously looking at purchasing a 150 series SX later in the year (can’t justify the extra $’s for the ZR) for the purpose of towing a small pop-top caravan on some long trips throughout Australia. I have been for a ride in the ZR (driver was my son-in-law) and was very impressed. I couldn’t drive it as I have a disability and can only drive an automatic vehicle modified with a Fujicon left foot accelerator.

This brings me to my questions.

    1. Can someone tell me if there is anything in or under the driver’s side foot well, just below the brake pedal, which would prevent the fitting of the modification? It requires the drilling of two holes in the floor about 3 to 4 inches (75 to 100mm) apart and the use of two bolts to hold the modification in place.

    2. It also requires the removal of the footrest. Can this be easily removed freeing up that space?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Here are two photos of the left foot accelerator I will be installing in the SX I will be buying later in the year.

I hope this helps explain what I am asking.

    Thanks

        G'day Samo,
I have asked the local dealer and the reply was "Yeah, I THINK that would be able to be done."
This was without even going out to talk to a mechanic.
I have not been impressed with the service given by the local dealer on a few occasions now and I am looking at going down the highway a bit to order the vehicle I want.
