That's interesting data Graphite and gives one cause to pause. Can you reveal your sources?
Thanks,

So, after a pregnant pause to this thread....
Does anyone have the ARB 60 litre installed in their 150?
Any comments about how it fits with a fridge slide?
Thanks,

I've got one. Sitting on black widow drawers with a cargo barrier. It's fantastic.
Great size as its nice and squat, leaves lots of room above it.
I had to push cargo barrier forward about 20mm so it sits hard up against rear seats but if you didn't have drawers it would fit easily.2011 150series GXL

Also consider an Autofridge. Mine is still going after 18 years. Once it is cold, you only need to run it for 4 hours, or 2 x 2 hours, per day.
You can run it all day and night on low cool, but that is a constant drain on the battery.Last edited by yowie; 22-02-2012, 11:13 AM.

Always wondered why you crow eaters had such long necks.
I thought that it was to help you see over the sand dunes, or to aid you when you were eatin crows or sumthin like that.

Yowie, I ended up handing my autofridge back to the old man. I found it was too hard to regulate a constant temp as a fridge. It required me to pay a lot of attention to it when I was too busy enjoying being outdoors.
Personally I see it as a great freezer and will be using it as such when I hit the cape later in the year. I have my eye on the 60L ARB due to height/build/size/ease of use.

Cheers,
Probably the biggest disadvantage of the Autofridge is the cool down time, generally 8 hrs for it to be cool, which is not very practical if you are going to mates place for a BBQ and chuck some drinks in just before you leave.

love my 47L ARB fridge - so easy to use and seems to be built well.
also, the 47L is completely useable.
also like the dairy compartment.
i put the fride in the boot for a road trip back in November and it hasn't come out since! has come in pretty handy for grocery shopping and post cricket game beers.Silver 150 GXL V6 Auto: TJM T13 bull bar, Avenger Mako TDS 9.5 winch, 2" lift - Bilstein shocks King springs, factory tow bar, Piranha battery tray, Red Arc isolator, E-Nex DC24MF battery, GME TX3540 UHF, ARB 47L fridge, ARB fridge slide, IPF spotties, Tekonsha P3 brake controller

It can be difficult to regulate the temp, but I have now worked that out and run it 2 x 2hours per day. If you forget to turn it off after 2 hours, it can freeze. Set the timer on the mobile phone if you are having too much fun to remember!
Yes AJ120, it does take some time to cool. I set mine up the day before I head off, and the temp is right the next morningLast edited by yowie; 23-02-2012, 11:49 AM.
