  • Sheepskin Seat Covers

    Hi all,

Just been checking around for various seat covers for the 150 series Prado, and come across this website:

    http://www.maroochycarsound.com.au/c...s-custom-made/

These look quite nice and are airbag compatible.

Can anyone give advise on sheepskin seat covers in general (would you get them again?), or had any dealings with Maroochy Car Sounds products?

    Thanks.

I got a full set of bone sheepskins from Eric (http://www.woollen-products.com.au/). Air bag compatible. They were very tights to fit but so beautiful to ride around on. I don't think I would be without them. 100% Australian merino. mmmmmmmm

          Hey Wooley, question away.. :-)

We got 18mm for the rear and 22mm for the front. Apparently they only do airbag compatible in 22mm and 25mm. Came in at $675 including postage. I'm not sure about the cut and whether they were custom or universal. They were really tight and fit beautifully.

Thanks for the reply Paul, you said everything I wanted to hear.
You wouldn't happen to have a picture of them fitted would you?

I got mine from Woolly Fleece, 25 mm front & went for acrylic covers in the 2nd row, Very happy with them, had the same set up in two of my last three vehicles.

I looked at the universals thought for what they are they were well overpriced, so decided to buy a custom made and fitted set from Wild Ram http://wildram.com.au/ who have been great, family has been getting seatcovers now for over 10 years from them. $850 for the front in charcoal for my 150. Im going to get the rears as its amazing how easily the rubbish factory velour is damaged.

im happy as a pig in shit with mine

Holy sh#t, that's a lot to spend on seat covers

I got my sheepskin covers from Autobarn. Just generic fit but are airbag compatible and were the 4 star quality ones I think. Cost under $400 and spent 3 years in my Pajero (including a 4 week outback trip) and now another year in my Prado. Still look brand new and fit really well.

I got some charcoal ones from Autobarn. They had a range with 6 different types. 6 being "Bloody Luxury" to 1 being "Pretty ordinary" I got number 4 and am pretty happy. They were about $350 and very comfy.
