Just had a read through this thread and these wet seat covers look like the go. I have leather seats in the Prado. Has anyone tried these on the leather. Will the covers affect or damage the leather? Will probably just be getting the mid seats to keep the grubby kids in check. Thanks in advance.

No problems with the Wetseats and leather so far after about 8 months. A real bitch to put on but well worth the effort.

I just "finished" installing mine yesterday. The front seats went on with little pain except for a couple of Velcro tabs missing - quality control is not good.

The back seats were are real pain. Velcro tabs missing on 3 of the 9 pieces (did I mention poor quality control?) and even with these there is no way a normal human can stretch the tapes under the seat far enough to attach loops to keep the covers firmly in place. This is going to cause me ongoing problems down the track. If I could remove the seats I'd have a chance. The tabs should be a lot longer with the option to cut excess when finished. I stumbled on the best way to fit the small bit that covers the low "knob" at the bottom of the middle section - lay the seat completely down to get to it from the back (had me completely foxed reading the instructions).

The covers themselves are comfortable and cool (I live in NQ) and look good.

I have also just ordered a set of fronts, middle, and head rest for a grad sum of 445 inclusive of postage. I went for the grey for the simple reason kids like to spill things and black would not a be a good choice. I am hoping there in the postbox tomorrow so i will put some pics up when i get them in.

Did you order directly from Inland, or is there somewhere cheaper to get them? I was just quoted 465 shipped for grey and 545 shipped for black. They confirmed that the grey one that is on special is for the 150 and ready to go, whereas there is a 4 week wait on the black. I think i would prefer black but probably not as much as i would prefer to keep $80 in my pocket!

Fitted my set yesterday morning, great looking and fitting... However I think the passenger side rear back is missing 2 of the Velcro pieces to secure it in place. Hopefully they will replace it when they return from Easter Hol's. Otherwise reckon its $465 well spent

Yes you are right rwo $465 was the price not 445 my bad but i hae them fitted and love them. Proved them selves at the Bendelbury ranges over the weekend. The ranges are dusty places and it gets everywhere. When i got home just gave them a wipe over and all is good. So all in all very happy so far.

I've had these seat covers in for 2 weeks and now the front ones want to peel off the seat back at the entry sides for both driver and passenger. Mine did not come with any tapes to keep them in place in line with the middle of the back. Anyone else having this problem?

                          Whiteman

I have had minde in now for a few weeks and no issues at all. I will say that i found it too hard to nstall the covers with the seats bolted in so i removed all the seats and this made the install a hell of a lot easier. As for straps there were crap loads on mins on both fronts there were 2 each on the bottom and in the rear there were at least 3 main starps all running front to back with a single east west strap as well.

Might be woth contacting them to find out more details.

                          Good luck

Thanks for that feedback. I am not happy with the build quality of the seat covers. The passenger front cover stops at the seam down the left side so it won't wrap around the seat. Straps missing everywhere or put in backwards. I'll have to search on how to get the back seats out and have another go but I am missing straps. Maybe I should rip the lot out and send it back to the manufacturer.

                              Whiteman,

I was going to order a set of these sometime this week. Though, I think I'll wait to learn the outcome of your experience.

Good manufacturers will do whatever they can to resolve issues with their product quality. It sounds like you got a dud, though from others reports, it sounds like this is an isolated case. How they handle this will put them to the test.

Good luck sorting it out, and please reply with your experience.

[Edit: I see st77 had a problem with missing straps too. Hmmm, not so isolated after all.]

If you've got Wet Seat covers then get in touch with the manufacturer (Inland Australia) before you give up.

I had an issue with my covers recently and they were very helpful. 1 phone call and an email with pics and they're sending me out some replacements.

The covers don't wrap around the sides of the front seats on the 150 to allow for airbag deployment. The front covers will slip off every now and then, it can get annoying but I figure there's no chance of the airbags getting caught up and not deploying correctly if I ever need them
