Look in the rig build section for Rogerthatv2's build, his is graphite and has a colour coded bar. His build thread is well worth a look for other ideas as wellOriginally posted by johno251 View PostThere's probably heaps here but can anyone point me in the direction of some graphite Prado pics with black or colour coded bars. I'm unsure of which to go for. Cheers!!
Probably a few other builds but none spring to mind.
Cheers Andrew

Hi Pete,
For me it was the extra protection over the lights that made me go for the full bar. Was worried about how the full bar may come up on a black Prado, thought may all be a bit much, black on black, but am very happy with the Gloss Black. It looks like its factory, meant to be.

Thanks CP, your bar looks great. At the moment I'm leaning towards a Sahara, but your bar is making me have a bit of a think.

G'day CPOriginally posted by CarindalePrado View PostThx Jeffers,
Mind me asking an unrelated question, I picked up the same Uniden as you have installed. Where did you mount the unit? Did you grab power straight from the battery or accessories.
Thx
CP
I mounted the head unit up in behind the glove box in the top LHS. You have to remove the glove box completely.
Then I ran the extension chord for the speaker mic in behind the radio and under the centre console so the plug comes out near the floor next to the drivers seat. I mounted the mic in front of the drivers seat for easy access and so I'm not drilling holes in the dash for mounting. You can see the pics on my build thread...

The power is connected to the accessories.
Cheers,
Jeff

Hi Pete,Originally posted by Pete t pops View PostCarindale.. Is that gloss black?? How much did they charge for the colour coding? Thanks
Yep gloss black unfortunately the photos don't do it justice, it looks great. Was a package price from the 4x4 show up here so can't tell you how much the colour coding cost, Don't really know, sorryLast edited by CarindalePrado; 18-04-2013, 06:38 PM.

Hi folks,
well after a bit of a wait the ARB Bar is on the Prado. Very Happy with the final product. Would have been happy with either ARB or TJM but found the dame edna look lost me a little, personal preference only. Night driving found little reflection on high beam, none from drivers side, a little from passengers, but no concern at all. That was a surprised, I expected more from the lower loops of the ARB.
heres a few pics, sorry about the quality, was getting a bit dark.

I have had mine almost two years and not had a problem with the bar rubbing.Originally posted by mickmac_42 View PostJasen, you may have answered this already. Have you noticed much apparent movement of the bar when driving. I understand it's actually the body moving on the chassis, but i noticed the gap between the bar and the bumper appears pretty small and wondered if you've got the same problems with rubbing that the steel bars can have when the gap is too small.
