Since having the Airtec installed my car has a distinct loss of power at medium throttle ???anyone else had this ?

Sure its not the weight of the bull bar on the front slowing ya down?2004 Prado GXL. v6 auto, ARB deluxe bar, exhaust, 2" EFS lift kit, Outback Acc rear bar,

Check the air intake hose for kinks? no obstructions in intake somewhere?2004 Prado GXL. v6 auto, ARB deluxe bar, exhaust, 2" EFS lift kit, Outback Acc rear bar,
rallye 2000 spots, roof mount dvd, dig_options stereo, toyota roof bars.

Daz make sure they have plugged the air box sensor back in or un plug it and re plug it in. Usually if this was unplugged if would result in a check engine light but I have seen it not do that as well.-----------------------

Will try that tonight. I did notice my air filter was very dusty so I cleaned it with the air compressor and it's seems to have picked up some power so I'm wondering if that is the problem. I'm not sure why I only noticed it after the snorkel instal though. I found a little rubber duckbill type rubber coming off the base of the Airbox which was caked solid with crap surprised how it got in there.Originally posted by Rogerthatv2 View Post
I also pulled the innergaurd cover off and found all was good no kinks it's actually solid plastic that can't kink, the air pickup hole in the air box is surprisingly small from the factory It sits partway in the air box then leads through the guard it very small internally but I guess Toyota would/should size it right.2010 Kakadu with all the usual stuff.... Ok since cleaning my filter it seemed to power up a little but its been more a coincidence but a couple of times the car has seemed to have dropped power but today when it did it my window was down and I could hear the viscous cooling van, once the fan cycled off power was spot on. I think the times I was accelerating after the snorkel install and feeling lack of power was when the fan was robbing power each time...Doh2010 Kakadu with all the usual stuff....
