The Rola RBXL bars aren't that great for mounting an awning.
Madkore has a similar issue http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post338558
But read further down for some ideas to solve the problem

Well back from the road trip.... up to Drifta onthe Friday to have the drawers fitted then down to Salt Ash, near Newcastle on Saturday to have the roof racks and awning fitted.... Have to say both Beechy from Drifta & Greg from Roofcage were great to deal with... and the end products and finish were just as good!

a few pic below of the rack and awning and there will be a few of the drawers in the drifta drawer post.

The rack is 2.4m long. The awning is 2.4 x 2m

can post a few more if anyone wants....

I don't know anything about the Rola bars, but have seen an awning fitted to the Rhino Sportz bars and it looks very good. The only issue I would have is trying to fit the awning as well as the shovel holder I have on the other side, then the rack on too (width is restrictive). The only way I could do that is to mount the awning onto the bars then mount the rack on top of the awning arm. As long as the bolts missed the mesh on the rack it really wouldn't be a problem. It's on the list when I get round to doing it!

          Cheers
          John

I purchased 6 months ago a Black Wido roof rack. It mounts use Rhino rack parts and is really heavy duty - load capacity 130kgs. I fill it right up when we go camping and all been great. Minimal road noise, start to hear from 100kms up. Not cheap at $1,400 but great - I've been really happy with it. Vehicle can still get under 2.1m height clearance, which is most places - a little nervous at some underground car parks!

Have a look at post number 89 on this thread, it's on a 120 but I would imagine it could be done on a 150 as well.

I went to Opposite Lock the other day and apparently all you need is the tray and a set of CXB legs that attach to the underside of the tray and grap onto the factory rails the same way as they do when connected to the sports bars.

I've just purchased and fitted the clamp on roof rack to which the websites said would suit a 150. The knobs that attached to the bolts to clamp the mounting bracket together were to large and therefore I could not use and had to purchase washers and nuts. No big deal tigerz11 have now changed there website to reflect this. Overall given the price I was still happy with the quality. Ive ordered their awning and shovel/hi lift jack bracket as well. FYI the steel clamp on was about 30kg.

                            Hey LostDingo2,
I am fairly sure this is what I am getting It was either this or tracklander but for the price difference I can get an awning as well. Pics would be good to as mine will be silver (when they finish building it). What sort of price did you get the lot for? I assume you have removed your factory rails?
                            Cheers

To me it is all about if you ever need to put some long on top...2 meters or or more...than I would definitely go the platform. It's easily configurable.

I just prefer a tray as a personal preference. Have had stuff go loose...would have been a goner if on a platform. That said nothing should ever go loose if tied down properly Some off road tracks can get a bit bumpy but things tend to go loose from gardual road vibration. Check often

Not sure about total price. I got the leg kit and another HD bar initially. Later I took the HD bars off, the tray fits straight to the legs. I purchased my tray at the Roeshill show and got a show discount.
