what rack would you use to toss an Oztent on the roof? An opened ended Rhino Pioneer? I want something like a Rhino as to ease in taking on and off.

The Rhino 1510 does not work for me very well on the 150

I have a Rhino Pioneer, it is just over 2 metres long, I have an oztent rv4, and it is a perfect fit. I have a Foxwing Awning mounted on the passenger side, and the Oztent tucks in neatly along side. 2 small ratchet straps to tie down, very quick and easy.

Looks good Adam...appreciate the pics. I think this will be the way I go but first I need to sell my old rack. No room left outside!

Hi guys, also looking at the rhino pioneer for my Kakadu but 1.5m model. Anyone know if this can be fitted to rhino roof racks utilizing factory rails? I want to avoid removing the factory rails and really like the flat tray of the pioneer.

                    Cheers,
                    Dejo

I think I'll go with a new Pioneer tray so I'll sell my Rhino 1510. If anyone is interested shoot me a message. I'll try to get some pics and share before placing on ebay.

I have the twin rhino rails, and am making a flat tray rack to hold my OzTent RV5 from ute flooring and 25mm steel tube. It will be 1800mm long and I am just unsure if I make it 500mm wide to just hold the OzTent or 950mm wide to allow me to chuck a few bits and pieces on there as well.

A side awning will also be installed, maybe a foxwing if I can find the cash any time this decade

How about taking off the sides of the tray and just use the planks. Then add some angle to tie the ends of the planks together. There will be a reduction in width though which might pose an issue.

Have you considered the Steel Mesh Flat Platform Basket, they're about half the price of the Pioneer Alloy Tray.

                            Just a thought.

                            cheers

It's not so much a flat tray I need as more length. The Pioneer I am looking at is the tray instead of the platform. More like a traditional but I can use my current leg kit and some accessories. I am keeping my 3 heady duty crossbars so I can use the bars if a tray is not needed.

Nothing wrong with the steel mesh but I would prefer a tray
