How to attach synthetic rope to TDS Mako winch drum?

The title pretty much says it all. I purchased a 12,000lb TDS Mako winch with a cable fitted. The guy at the shop gave me a synthetic rope and hawse because I ordered a synthetic one and they supplied a cable one. I have removed to the cable by undoing the two little grub screws that hold it in place. But I'm unsure how to attach the rope to the drum. The synthetic rope has an eyelet on the end that should bolt to the drum. I have searched the net and the only things I can find involve bolting this eyelet to the drum. But there is no hole large enough for the eyelet to bolt on to. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here, or has the shop supplied me another dodgy product? Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem fitting rope. Ended up cutting off most of the bolt part of the lug that was crimped onto the rope, drilled a 4.5mm hole in the remaining metal then used a suitable round head 4mm screw (that was the size of the grub screw) to hold that on the drum.

Thanks again Marc but yeah you where a bit late for me to try the above mentioned way of spooling my rope. I ended up speaking to the Australian Kingone dealer and he said he pulls about four strands out of the rope for about 8 inch's and raps it in electrical tape nice and tight and attaches it the exact same way as the cable using the grub screws. This worked well and I couldn't believe that all that rope fitted on the drum.

Thats surprising because the pictures above are the way the my Kingone rope came on mine.
