    That's good to know.... I've got a bit of time b4 I need to make a decision and we head out west in June

        Been using a bushranger bag since 2007 and still going good, has never leaked or let dust in and has been used alot, I recommend them Rob.

            Hi Rob, I fasten the bushranger bag to the rack by the 4 straps on the bag, it looks used on the base but has not rubbed through.

              Thanks Derek....

              What size bag did u end up getting and what size is your roofrack compared to your bag? I'm not sure to get a bag the same length as the roofrack (2mtrs) or one a bit shorter that would allow me to put a toolbox, etc (u know what I mean) up on the rack....

                OK.... Time is drawing closer where I've got to make a decision on buying a Rooftop Bag. Still looking at the BushRanger Bag with the size of 1520x1220 with my Roofrack beiing 2000x1170 so the bag is 50mm wider than my Roofrack..... would this be a problem?

                One salesman still pointed back towards the MSA Bag but these are quite a lot more expensive than the BushRanger ones & I'm not sure why they are better..... Any ideas?

                  I had a canvas blind mob make a bag up from heavy duty canvas 12 years ago because comercial bags were dearer and not what I wanted. Mine is 1700 x 1100 and around 200mm high with a HD zipper down one side and across the back. It has a ply floor held in place by velcro and webbing sewn into each corner. I have captive nuts set in my Rhino sport bars for our rooftop tent and I have match drilled the bag and bolt it straight to the bars without a rack or basket from the inside of the bag, takes about five minutes. It is amazing how much fits into a bag this size and by coinsidence it fits snug into an aluminium Rolo basket as well. As waterproof as a canvas bag can be helped by not having a zipper at the front so wind pressure cannot force water through it.

                    Well..... Bit the bullet and bought a MSA Rooftop Bag 1200x1800 in size. Bushtracker no longer do a suitable size bag anymore. Pulled it out of the box and was surprised as to how straps hold this bag down..... not sure if that will become a PITA or not.... time will tell I suppose

                            Haven't got anything yet. There's a bit more feedback of their gear online since I started looking and I haven't heard of any issues. I'm just not keen on buying this kind of stuff without checking it out first and the pics on the website don't show much.

                            I was leaning towards a Rhino bag but saw one beside an MSA bag recently and there's no comparison. Extra straps, lining, better fabric and extra covers make the MSA a great bag but I think it'll be too big for most of my trips.

                            Infront are Aussie made, made to order and can be customised and have 30% off until next week. I think I'm convincing myself...will let you know

                              Yeah basically for all the reasons you listed I'm thinking the same. I want a bag 1600 x 900 and it seems that the only way I can get it is by getting a custom size made. I have already spoken to klaus from infront who is willing to make ethe exact size . I am talking myself into it as I type!
                              With 30% disc comes out at $350 which is great value I reckon.
